The way you express longing and loss, while still holding on to beautiful memories, speaks directly to the heart. I dreamt of you tonight, my love! set the tone for my entire poem, immersing in a dream like state where reality and imagination blur. There’s a rawness in the words, particularly when I speak of  a soul crying, and yearning for connection across time and space. The repetition of “Every single night” reinforces the never ending nature of my longing, emphasizing how the love transcends your physical presence and resides in memories and dreams. The imagery of kisses and hugs in the relation is so tender and vivid, it paints a picture of an eternal love that even time can not erase.  What am I waiting for,

if you'll never come back?

Am I praying for

something I'll never feel again?

But then again, 

you never know, 

so I won't let go.

After all our sunset summers, 

you were mine,

After all they say, 

we'll never say goodbye.

We didn't let go, 

but I'm hoping that you'll call

and tell me that you love me,

that you love me after all.
