The air is sweet tonight

I just want you next to me

push back everything in your past

we've got a love to last

I wanna be here with you

under ther starry sky

I'll never gonna leave you 

to dream alone apart.

Now that we've past the doubt

true love's what we're about

if we try girl you and I

we can build a feeling 

that will never die.

The world you're showing me

I never knew inside my heart

the way you stand by me 

shows me how this love can start.

I love poetry because it immerses deeply in my soul. When I listen to it or read  poems, I am completely transported to another world where everything  is beautiful. If all of  our life were a poem, said by a veteran poet to his captivating beloved.  If it were as simple as poetry, as profound as poetry and as moving as poetry.
