A detail that everyone has ignored

 He finds soon himself totally depending on her, showering her with clothes and gifts. Embarrassed by this situation, he does nothing to change it. Love wins when she reveals to him on the new year's evening that she loves him. He attended a party made by a friend and discussed with an ambitious woman, who has shown interest in one of his projects. But when he called her to announce his departure on a trip, he learnt that she has also organized a small party. He rushed back to reassure her, and ultimately stayed at the party. Their relationship thus settles down while his work progresses. His friend is interested in her car, an antique one, for a reconstruction. A detail that everyone has ignored.

By this occasion, he meets his old girlfriend again. He then agrees to collaborate with her on a project. A romance blossoms between them. When she finds out, she calls his girlfriend to reveal the secrets of her life with him. The latter discovered it , he grabs the phone and calls his girlfriend to show her his living environment with her. He manages to scare her. She claims victory, but he pushes her away and packs his bags to leave her. She threatens him with scandal, he doesn't take her seriously but, when he wants to leave the house, she falls into the swimming-pool.

She's the one who's dependent..and evidently a drama queen too. Sounds like a sad premise, but many fall into this pit.

It is always interesting how in some cultures, of what women expect from men, especially to be showered with gifts. I was never like that. I didn't expect too much. Well, there was that time I was hoping for a watch at Christmas instead I got a timer for the kitchen. I tend to burn things in the oven and still do. But my cousin from the Phillipines, she expected her boyfriend to take her shopping every payday. Then when we were out she expected him to buy me clothes too, but I said, "I couldn't."
