The Atlas Lions thrilled the football world during the 2022 World Cup. Their historic success inspired Moroccans and united them around the values ​​of football, joy, and passion. Between Morocco and football, a story of love and challenges. A story that reminds us that nothing is impossible: "We dream big".

Morocco, Land of Light, has always shone at major global sports events. Thanks to the efforts of all Moroccans and their passion, Moroccan football has always provided fans with moments of pure joy and breathtaking.

Morocco has always been a source of inspiration for African football:

in 1976, the Atlas Lions won the Africa Cup of Nations, held in Ethiopia. Looking back to 1986, Morocco was the first African country to advance beyond the first round of a World Cup.

Morocco and its national football clubs continued to make history.



In 2022, the Moroccan national team rewrote history, opening a new chapter for African football. It was the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup and to be part of the "golden 4" of this major sport event.

Moroccan football was and is brilliant in every way.

Also, Moroccan fans at the 2022 World Cup have played a vital role since the beginning of the World Cup and were the "12 player" behind the Atlas Lions.

These achievements are the result of long-term efforts, which invested in infrastructure, equipment, and training centers, true breeding grounds for champions, heroes capable of rising to challenges and inspiring the dreams of the Moroccan people. 

Morocco shone with a thousand lights. Billions of views, likes, and shares on the virtual world, and 35 million Moroccans took to the streets, cheering and shouting with joy. The heroic success of the Atlas Lions at the 2022 World Cup resonated throughout Morocco and in all the world.

Congratulations to the Moroccan team of football under-17 for winning in April 19, 2025 the African cup of nations u-17.
