I love poetry because it immerses deeply in my soul. When I listen to it or read  poems, I am completely transported to another world where everything  is beautiful. If all of  our life were a poem, said by a veteran poet to his captivating beloved.  If it were as simple as poetry, as profound as poetry and as moving as poetry. Poetry says what words can not and conveys what words fail to. I love it because it is my favorite way to travel through time and space, taken  far away in poems. I dreamt of you tonight, my love! set the tone for my entire poem, immersing in a dream like state where reality and imagination blur. There’s a rawness in the words, particularly when I speak of  a soul crying, and yearning for connection across time and space. The repetition of “Every single night” reinforces the never ending nature of my longing, emphasizing how the love transcends your physical presence and resides in memories and dreams.
