BOOK REVIEW

The Laughter of the Cyclops   Released: October 1, 2010.  Book Novel by Bernard Werber The author often quotes other people, so these excerpts may not be from him. "I find television very conducive to culture. Every time someone turns it on at home, I go into the next room and read a book." "Hairdressing landscape architect" (referring to the profession of hairdresser) "Experience is the name everyone gives to the sum of their mistakes!" "The novel is the opposite, it takes the reader for a being capable of forming his own opinion. The article wants to force him to have the same opinion as the journalist, and to reinforce this effect, it uses a subterfuge: the captioned photo." "It is emptiness that creates the appreciation of fullness. For monks, one must take a vow of silence to experience the pleasure of speaking; one must fast to savor food; abstain to appreciate the power of the carnal act. It is silence that teaches us to enjoy music. ...

THERE ARE MOMENTS IN LIFE

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real! >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  > When the door of happiness closes, another opens; but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us. >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  >  > Don't go for looks; they...

JOY WALKS AFTER PAIN AT HOME

I'm trying to decide if I agree with this. I think people can feel like or/and be home. To me, home is a collection of heartbeats that make you feel warm and loved, including yours. Perhaps my heartbeat is the burning hearth, while that of friends, loved ones, are like a sofa and blankets around the hearth, or like some of the firewood that makes my life, the house, warm and warmer. And some heartbeats may flow away like water, or whatever, and the house may get a bit colder, hopefully for just a short while, like some of the firewood burnt to ashes or blankets got torn but I still have the other heartbeats, including mine, around me to call home. In conclusion, we are all made up of Water. so don't love people but Love them for they are meant to be loved. But drink more water, eat more, sleep more, listen to more music, dance , fall in love with fictional characters, read more novels ... Give Yourself the best treatment because at the end of the day, you just need to be Happy,...

What would you do with 60% of more free time?

What would you do with 60% of  more free time? Think about the hobbies you've always wanted to try, c onsider the skills you'd like to acquire or  reflect on the causes you care about. Allocate some of this time to relaxation and personal well-being, s et goals for new activities or learning, or   incorporate time for social and family connections. Start with one or two activities so you don't feel overwhelmed, r egularly assess whether these activities bring you satisfaction, then a djust your schedule according to your preferences and needs. In my free time, I enjoy reading. When I read, I completely relax and find myself in another world. Reading books helps me develop my creativity when I write. It helps me think outside the box and use my imagination. Having free time seems like the cure for all ills, but I think too much free time could be detrimental to the health. We all need free time to perform better and take advantage of it to do things we enjoy but can't...

We sit in the shadows of our living rooms

We sit in the shadows of our darkened living rooms, able for the space of an hour to forget ourselves and immerse in the characters we see on the TV screen. But, this particular episode imposes a sudden confrontation with the real in an universe of monsters, vampires and horror. In previous episodes, we as viewers have witnessed the character's battle with cancer and her hopeful recovery, and yet, unexpectedly, we find ourselves sitting down and suddenly, almost painfully, reminded of our ownselves when the character dies. The first thing that separates this episode from all others is its lack of music. We can also see an nonassimilable monster, a tumor, a cancer that the listening devices of the unconscious do not hear, for its strayed subject is huddled outside of the paths of desire. We do not hear a music score. Perhaps there is no music because the mother is dead. Music is associated to the mother, but the mother is dead, a thing no longer able to be desired. There is only sil...
